Talk Lameness is a horse owners introduction to lameness and how a vet will approach diagnosing and treating it.
We believe that horse owners and vets will have better conversations resulting in better outcomes if everyone understands the challenges faced. There’s certainly an art to lameness investigations and despite the rigour and expereince many vets employ they are complex processes that may not always yield obvious answers. To that end they can also be frustrating and not always straightforward. The best approaches aren’t always the least expensive either, let’s start from the beginning and work our way through, discussing the considerations a vet will make a long the way.
Presented by Jackie Potts who has spent three decades at the top of her game as groom to William Fox-Pitt for the last 32 years, Jackie is a firm advocate of getting to know your horse; be consistent, work out what makes them tick and what they like and don’t like. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s a silly question. You can only learn by asking! Hear what she has to say as she introduces Talk Lameness.
